Available now in Florida

Lead times for new substation power transformers are still long. CTG Grid Solutions is marketing a decommissioned 69 kV class substation transformer that is on the ground in Florida today and available as-is, where-is. It is a practical starting point for a rebuild, a system spare, or a capacity project where schedule matters.

The unit is a 1993 Cooper Power Systems (McGraw-Edison) three-phase, 60 Hz, OA/FA/FA design rated up to 28 MVA at 65 °C. It has a 69 kV delta primary (350 kV BIL), a 24.94 GrdY/14.4 kV secondary (150 kV BIL), and a ±10%, 33-position on-load tap changer with LTC-4C control. Windings are copper. The tank is nitrogen blanketed and filled with non-PCB mineral oil. The owner reports it came out of service about two years ago for a capacity upgrade.

Condition: Surplus, removed from service. Sold as-is, where-is, without warranty.
